
These three books are what started it all. My anxiety was out of control and I was looking for natural ways of healing. I followed “The Food Babe” on Instagram for a while and was very interested in her knowledge in food additives and preservatives and how they affected the body. I instantly went to Barnes and Noble to pick up a copy of her book.
I read this book in just a few days and I went searching for more books on the topic of toxins and the affect on the body. The next book I bought was “Not Just a Pretty Face“. I am a hairstylist and makeup artist by trade so product knowledge is very important to me. I never realized all of the chemicals I was using and putting on my body! I read that women use an average of 12-16 beauty products a day, which is can be over 200 chemicals that are entering the body! More on this in a future post.
Naturally I the step to learning about toxins was everyday household cleaners, and items around the house. The book I chose was called “ToxIN ToxOUT”. It was very informative as far as cleaning products, new car smell and other weird things you would never think of.
I just wanted to give an overview of how I got started and will dive deeper into these subjects later. They are surprisingly fascinating!
